Chase made photo verification optional in The Transfer Portal on purpose. Some people don't feel comfortable taking a live photo on day one, so a member can verify later from their profile, for example to show a new match they're real. A person on the team reviews each pose selfie. Reviewers check that the photo is real, that it matches the member's other profile pictures, and that AI didn't generate it. Reviewers use the pose as one more check that a person took the photo. An ID check is a separate, optional step.
