We built The Transfer Portal for emotionally ready singles: never married, divorced or separated, and single parents. These guidelines describe how we expect you to treat each other so the community stays safe and respectful.
By using The Transfer Portal, you agree to follow these guidelines. If you break them, we may warn you, restrict your account for a time, or remove you from the platform.
Be Authentic
We expect you to represent yourself truthfully.
Do:
- Use recent photos that show how you look today
- Be honest about your age, relationship status, and intentions
- Share true information about yourself in your profile
- Complete photo verification so other members can trust your photos
Don't:
- Use photos of other people, or photos so filtered or edited that they misrepresent your appearance
- Create fake profiles or impersonate others
- Lie about significant details like having children, your location, or relationship status
- Maintain multiple accounts
Be Respectful
Members include divorced people, separated people, people who have never married, and single parents. Be kind to other members.
Do:
- Communicate respectfully, even if you're not interested
- Accept a no with grace. Some connections won't turn into a match
- Respect others' boundaries and pace preferences
- Understand that members have different coparenting schedules and availability
Don't:
- Send unsolicited sexual content or explicit messages
- Harass, bully, or repeatedly contact someone who isn't responding
- Make discriminatory comments about race, religion, gender, sexuality, body type, or disability
- Mock or shame others for their divorce, parenting situation, or readiness journey
- Use abusive, threatening, or violent language
Keep It Safe
Our moderators watch this platform closely, and we need your help too.
Do:
- Report suspicious behavior, fake profiles, or harassment right away
- Meet in public places for first dates
- Tell a friend or family member about your date plans
- Trust your instincts. If something feels wrong, it probably is
- Block anyone who makes you uncomfortable
Don't:
- Share personal financial information or send money to anyone you meet on the app
- Share your home address before you've established trust
- Engage with anyone who seems to be running a scam
- Ignore red flags like inconsistent stories or pressure to move off the app quickly
Protect Privacy
Respect other members' privacy the way you'd want yours respected. Keep what you share in The Transfer Portal private unless both of you agree otherwise.
Do:
- Keep conversations and shared information confidential
- Ask permission before sharing someone's profile with friends
- Respect when someone wants to take things slowly before sharing personal details
Don't:
- Screenshot or share private conversations publicly without consent
- Share others' photos, personal information, or contact details
- Attempt to find or contact matches outside the app without their permission
- Dox, stalk, or gather information about matches through external sources
No Illegal Activity
We don't tolerate illegal behavior of any kind.
Prohibited:
- Soliciting or offering prostitution or escort services
- Human trafficking of any kind
- Sharing or soliciting explicit images of minors (immediate ban and law enforcement report)
- Distributing drugs or controlled substances
- Using the platform to promote illegal activities
- Fraud, scams, or attempts to steal money or information
- Threats of violence or harm
We report illegal activity to law enforcement authorities.
No Spam or Commercial Activity
Use The Transfer Portal to meet people. Don't use it to promote a business.
Prohibited:
- Promoting businesses, products, or services
- Soliciting followers for social media accounts
- Recruiting for MLMs, investment schemes, or similar opportunities
- Sending repetitive or automated messages
- Using the platform only to send traffic elsewhere
- Phishing or attempting to collect others' login credentials
Content Standards
Keep your profile appropriate and about you.
Profile Photos Must:
- Show your face clearly in at least one photo
- Be of you (not someone else, celebrities, or fictional characters)
- Not contain nudity or sexually explicit content
- Not include children's faces (for their privacy and safety)
- Not contain graphic violence, weapons, or illegal substances
- Not be heavily filtered to the point of misrepresentation
Bio and Prompts Must:
- Not contain explicit sexual content
- Not include hate speech or discriminatory language
- Not contain contact information meant to move people off the platform
- Not include threats or aggressive language
Special Considerations for Our Community
Members include people who are divorced or separated, people who have never married, and single parents. Be careful when you talk about someone's past.
Be Mindful:
- Members are at different stages of rebuilding. Be patient
- Coparenting schedules get complicated. Be flexible about plans
- Divorce can leave you raw. Be gentle with yourself and others
- Parents put their children's wellbeing first. Respect that
- Some members aren't ready for a relationship yet. Respect their pace
Never:
- Shame someone for their divorce or separation
- Criticize someone's parenting or custody arrangements
- Pressure someone to introduce you to their children
- Badmouth an ex-spouse or ask invasive questions about their divorce
- Judge someone for using Soft Start Mode or taking dating slowly
Enforcement
We act on guideline violations to keep the community safe.
If You Break the Guidelines:
- Warning: For a minor or first violation, we may warn you
- Temporary Restriction: We may limit your account for a time, for example so you can't message or match
- Account Suspension: For a serious violation, we may suspend your account for a time
- Permanent Ban: For severe or repeated violations, we remove you from the platform for good
Immediate Ban Offenses:
- Any form of illegal activity
- Sharing explicit content involving minors
- Threats of violence
- Severe harassment or stalking
- Fraud or scam attempts
Our Trust & Safety team reviews each case and makes the enforcement decision. If you think we restricted your account in error, you can appeal by emailing appeals@thetransferportalapp.com.
How to Report
If you see behavior that breaks these guidelines, report it right away.
In the App:
- Tap the three dots menu on a profile or in a chat
- Select “Report”
- Choose the reason and provide details
- Your report is anonymous. The other person won't know who reported them

We review reports within 24 to 48 hours, and we handle urgent safety reports first.
